VIP SCREENING OF FAST & FURIOUS 5 at SM CINEMA MEGAMALL

United International Pictures in cooperation with SM Cinema will hold the special advance screening of “Fast & Furious 5” at SM Megamall Cinema 6 on April 28, 2011, at 7.30pm. It will be attended by VIPs, the Press, theatre industry partners, brand partners and other special guests. The said premiere is a culmination of SM Cinema’s De Luxe Makeover Launch where guests will be introduced to the newest innovation of SM Cinema.

Vin Diesel and Paul Walker lead a reunion of returning all-stars from every chapter of the explosive franchise built on speed in Fast & Furious 5.  In this installment, former cop Brian O’Conner (Paul Walker) partners with ex-con Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) on the opposite side of the law.  Dwayne Johnson joins returning favorites Jordana Brewster, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Gal Gadot, Matt Schulze, Tego Calderon and Don Omar for this ultimate high-stakes race.

Since Brian and Mia Toretto (Brewster) broke Dom out of custody, they’ve blown across many borders to elude authorities.  Now backed into a corner in Rio de Janeiro, they must pull one last job in order to gain their freedom.  As they assemble their elite team of top racers, the unlikely allies know their only shot of getting out for good means confronting the corrupt businessman who wants them dead.  But he’s not the only one on their tail.

Hard-nosed federal agent Luke Hobbs (Johnson) never misses his target.  When he is assigned to track down Dom and Brian, he and his strike team launch an all-out assault to capture them.  But as his men tear through Brazil, Hobbs learns he can’t separate the good guys from the bad.  Now, he must rely on his instincts to corner his prey…before someone else runs them down first.

Beauty Make Up Class at Make Up Designory

Groupon Philippines had an online deal at Make Up Designory Manila (also known as M.U.D) for a Beauty Make Up Class, instead of paying Php7000 they had a 60% off which made it Php2800 and another good thing about it is that the scheduled class are on Sundays! I grabbed the opportunity since I always wanted to know how to properly use make up. I have to agree that I have make up and I have tons of them at home, I also watch make up tutorials in YouTube, but I know I’m still lacking. I keep getting comments and feedback that I can just read articles and watch tutorials but for me it’s still better that I learn it with an expert. Online blogs and books are a really a good help but for me learning it in class would be much effective.

I had my class scheduled on April 17, 2011 and the class is from 10am to 6pm. I was the second student to arrive. MUD is located at the second floor in Serendra just above BPI. At first, I thought I was lost and next thing I know, Make Up Designory is actually inside Pure Beauty. It was a small classroom filled with a lot of mirrors and a lot of light, I thought that there was going to be yellow light but good thing it wasn’t. Our makeup instructor arrived about 5 to 10 minutes and she has this bright cheerful and friendly face and personality. She told us to put all our makeup on our table so she could take a look at them and she helped my other classmates with the brushes and make ups that they needed.

Here‘s what I learned that day:
- A background about Make Up Designory and its Products
- How to trim our eyebrows and giving it a natural look
- How to apply and look for the right foundation for your skin
- The basic make up brushes you need
- How to know or test an eye shadow that has a good quality or that’s really pigmented
- How to apply day and night eye shadows
- How to apply your blush in a different way
- How to apply lip color

I really learned a lot that day and the class is very helpful especially for those who don’t know how to use make up. I would definitely recommend it to my friends; you would really learn a lot from them and their makeup are also good. I definitely added their make up as my favorites. Their makeup is a bit pricey and I would still recommend it because it’s worth every centavo.

Here are a couple of pictures I grabbed from my beauty instructor, Myr Lim :

Thanks to Groupon Philippines for their sweet deal and thanks to MUD Manila for the Beauty Make Up Class.

Since 2007, Kcat started her MAY Birthday Project by celebrating her birthday and giving gifts to children in PGH. I have been helping my friend for 2 years and this would be my third year, I always give coloring books and crayons for the kids to enjoy and I'm still thinking if I should continue giving that this year or I should give toys instead.

I'm thinking of giving coloring books and crayons, or toys or toiletries, what would you suggest?

BEASTLY premieres TODAY at SM Cinema Megamall, Cebu & Baguio

Viva International Pictures in cooperation with SM Cinema, Easy Rock and Love Radio will hold the special advance screenings of “Beastly” at SM Megamall Cinema 2, SM Cebu Cinema 1 and SM Baguio Cinema 2 today, April 19, 2011, at 7pm.

Seventeen year old Kyle (Alex Pettyfer) is the spoiled, shallow and incredibly popular prince of his high school kingdom.   Entirely captivated and empowered by his own physical appearance, Kyle foolishly chooses Kendra (Mary-Kate Olsen), a witch masquerading as a high school student, as his latest target for humiliation.  Unfazed by his cruel behavior, Kendra decides to teach him a lesson – she transforms him into someone as unattractive on the outside as he is on the inside.  Now he has one year to find someone who can see past the surface and love him, or he will remain “Beastly” forever.  His only hope, a quiet classmate he never noticed named Lindy (Vanessa Hudgens), may be his best chance to prove that love is never ugly.

Vanessa Hudgens (High School Musical) and Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four) star in Beastly for CBS Films, the film division within CBS Corporation (NYSE: CBS.A and CBS).  Mary Kate-Olsen (New York Minute), Peter Krause (“Parenthood”), LisaGay Hamilton (“Men of a Certain Age”) and Neil Patrick Harris (“How I Met Your Mother”) co-star.  Daniel Barnz (Phoebe In Wonderland) directed the project which will make its theatrical debut in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico on March 4, 2011.

Susan Cartsonis (No Reservations, What Women Want) produced through her company, Storefront Pictures.  Roz Weisberg is co-producer and Michael Flynn is executive producer.  In addition to his role as director, Barnz wrote the screenplay, which is based on the Alex Flinn novel of the same name.
