Page 3 - My Blogroll

I’m currently listing down all the blogs I follow and categorizing it. I was thinking of listing down all the blogs I follow using Google connect or just list down the ones that I really read. I’m following 30 blogs and counting, some are don’t have any new post, some I don’t even read and there’s a couple that I read. I’ll be contacting the bloggers who I’ll add in my blogroll to get their permission. I don’t want to list down a lot of blogs and in the end I’m not going to read them; it won’t be fair to the blogger as well. The main reason why I’m just going to list a couple of selected blogs is because I really read their blog entries, I find their blog interesting, I learn a lot from their blogs and of course some of them are my friends. I just hope I finish this soon :)

Your Wisdom Tooth Can Tell Where You Grew Up

I was watching Bones Season 6 Episode 21 and these line got stuck in my mind:
Dr. Brennan: "When you were an infant, your permanent teeth were developing deep in your jaw bone, accumulating specific isotopes from the environment where you lived."
Grace Mitchum: "Her tooth can tell you where she grew up?"
Dr. Brennan: "Absolutely."
Some good to know facts from TV Series, Bones never fails to surprise and I get to learn more facts every episode.

Intelligent Parking Assist in 2010 Toyota Prius

I was just watching Bones Season 6 Episode 20, Dr. Temperance Brennan or mostly called "Bones" was driving a blue Toyota, when she was about to park her car she just pushed a button and the car automatically did all the parking for her! I can still remember Dr. Lance Sweets or "Sweets" when he blurted out, "Whoa! Ghost Driver!" Then Bones explained that it was an Intelligent Parking Assist, I was so shocked and was curious about it that I had to check it out on the internet.

As I did a fast research on the internet, I saw this in YouTube :

Here's a few more info from Wikipedia :

Intelligent Parking Assist System (IPAS), also known as the Advanced Parking Guidance System (APGS) for Lexus models in the United States, is the first production automatic parking system developed by Toyota Motor Corporation in 2004 initially for the Japanese market hybrid Prius models and later Lexus models. The technology assists drivers in parking their vehicle. On vehicles equipped with the IPAS, via an in-dash screen and button controls, the car can steer itself into a parking space with little input from the user. The first version of the system was deployed on the Prius Hybrid sold in Japan in 2003. In 2006, an upgraded version debuted for the first time outside Japan on the Lexus LS luxury sedan, which featured the automatic parking technology among other brand new inventions from Toyota. In 2009, the system appeared on the third generation Prius sold in the U.S. In Asia and Europe, the parking technology is marketed as the Intelligent Park Assist System for both Lexus and Toyota models, while in the U.S. the Advanced Parking Guidance System name is only used for the Lexus system.

Osama Bin Laden Killed in Pakistan

I was just checking my Plurk and saw a post from Azrael that Osama bin Laden is dead! Bin Laden was the man behind the the September 11 terrorist attack in America. I was really surprised when I read this and I still can't believe he's already dead. After 10 years he's been found and killed, I wonder whats going to happen after this.

Za'atar Bread from Al Batra

Growing up in the Middle East made me love eating different kinds of food and this is one of my favorite breads.

You may wonder what it is, it’s called za’atar bread. Za’atar bread is pita bread with olive oil and za’atar seasoning. Za’atar is a Middle Eastern herb which has oregano, basil thyme, thyme and savory; they also add dried sumac, sesame seeds and other spices to make the seasoning for the bread.

I’m fond of food that has a tangy taste and this bread is the tangiest of all the breads I have eaten and it also has a salty taste. So far, there’s only one restaurant that sells it and that's Al Batra Restaurant & Coffee Shop. They are selling it for Php 100 apiece.

If you’re into Arab food and into bread as well, you can visit Al Batra Restaurant & Coffee Shop at 2/F Constellation Street corner Makati Avenue, Its right above 7-Eleven and Pan de Manila.

After more than a year, Kathi and I finally met up in January and had dinner at Chuck's Deli.

I ordered the Pilgrim which was turkey and has cranberry sauce,
the cranberry sauce was really sweet and I felt like I was on sugar high.

Good thing there was garlic sauce and if you wanted some spice in your slab or burger there's Chuck's sauce.

Another plus is the Cherry Coke, so far they're only place that serves them :D

On the last quarter of 2010, my addictions for Starbucks started again and I can't stop going every now and then. There's always one question that pops up, "Where's that quiet Starbucks that I can chill, relax or read a good book?"

The Starbucks at Shangri-La (at the top floor), Quezon Avenue, Paseo de Sta Rosa, Intramuros and the one near Ayala Triangle are always my top choices.

So, which Starbucks do you always go to?
